Evidence Academy is a new home for practical research education. Our first course is a structured, six-week programme that walks you through every stage of a systematic review, so you finish with a protocol, a search, a synthesis and a manuscript you can submit.

The course

Six weeks. One review.

  1. Week 01

    Question and protocol

    Frame a focused question, set eligibility criteria and register your protocol.

  2. Week 02

    Searching

    Build a reproducible search strategy across the major databases.

  3. Week 03

    Screening

    Screen titles, abstracts and full texts, and record it in a PRISMA flow diagram.

  4. Week 04

    Extraction and risk of bias

    Extract data consistently and appraise the quality of included studies.

  5. Week 05

    Synthesis and meta-analysis

    Combine the evidence, narratively or statistically, and interpret what it shows.

  6. Week 06

    Writing and submission

    Report to PRISMA standards, choose a journal and prepare your manuscript.
